We had a lot of fun and got a great work-out this afternoon! This was a first for all of us- snowshoeing through the woods with snowflakes all around. Totally beautiful!
This month we are learning all about the scientific process and preparing for the science fair. We are asking the question, "Do different plants have different needs?" We will be exploring different types of plants and experimenting with a plant that can grow without soil- a tilandsia plant (pictured above). Ask your student about some of the experiments we've been doing in class!
Winter is always full of adventures at WMAES! This week we were visited by a sled dog team. We got to pet all of the beautiful dogs and then watch them pull their sled. They really are smart and gorgeous animals! Remember to always send the kids with all of their winter gear- we are hoping to go snow-shoeing soon!
Before Christmas break, our class had a lot of fun learning about cultural traditions around the globe and some from our own families. Mrs. DeMeester visited our class to teach us about the German tradition of finding a pickle ornament in the Christmas tree. We even went out into the pine forest to find a pickle ourselves.
