Making Thundercake!

Today we listened to Patricia Polacco read her book, Thundercake, about a little girl who is scared of thunderstorms. Her grandmother attempts to distract her from the storm by helping her make a special cake.  After listening to the story we made our own version of the cake in the crockpot. Everyone pitched in to help and after a few hours, we got to enjoy a piece of cake during writing class!
