Our Art Prize Project!

As part of the WMAES Art Prize competition, we created these wings and decorated them with wrappers from our snacks. Check it out during conferences!

Butterflies!

Watching the miracle of nature - our painted lady butterflies are emerging!

Special Visitor!

Sarah Wildey, the Vice President of our management company, Choice Schools Associates, came to visit on Friday to help us with our applesauce and apple sun catchers. It was so great having her and we hope she had fun too! She will be coming in to join us for special activities on a regular basis. Thank you , Mrs. Wildey!

Making Applesauce

We've been learning all about the life cycle of the apple tree and the story of Johnny Appleseed. What a great way to end the week by making homemade applesauce together!

Frogs and Toads!

Here we are exploring life cycles and habitats by frog hunting out in the woods.

ArtPrize Field Trip!

We had a blast making wearable art from re-purposed items and exploring ArtPrize downtown. Thanks to our chaperones and Mr. Dunkerton for helping to make a smooth and really enjoyable trip today!

We had so much fun today celebrating Johnny Appleseed Day! We started the day by reading about John Chapman and how he showed respect for nature, animals, and other people.  The apple theme carried over all day as we did some apple graphing in math, wrote about Johnny Appleseed and made a craft, and even enjoyed two delicious apple snacks. Yum!
