Winter Crafting!

We had so much fun this week making salt dough ornaments and crafting snow people in the style of the Lois Ehlert book, Snowballs! All while sipping hot cocoa with marshmallows - yum!

How-To Writing

We learned about the "how-to" informational style of writing and how important it is to write our steps in the correct order!

Nicolastaug!

Someone put some goodies in our shoes on Monday morning! We learned about the German tradition of St. Nicolastaug.

Winter Ecology!

We have been exploring campus learning about animal behaviors in the winter. We fed the birds, checked out hibernating insects, and took a nap in a deer bed!

Hayride Time!

Mr. Dunkerton treated us to a hayride - what beautiful weather we had on this November day - didn't even need our coats!

Learning About the Weather

Mr. Shawn taught us how to use several weather tools to determine the temperature and wind speed.

Wooly Bears!

We love finding wooly bears on our walks! Pretty soon we won't be seeing them crawling around as they prepare for winter.

Happy Halloween!

We had a ball today with a costume dance-off, a spread of yummy treats, and watching the classic It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Thanks so much to all the parents that sent in goodies, supplies, or were able to come and help.

Goin' on a Leaf Hunt

We took advantage of the beautiful October weather to search for different types of leaves and then sort them into categories.
